  1. Mama Loni & Ma Pauline
From the southern roots of Kosciusko, Mississippi Leona Oates (Mama Loni) was a household name NOT only in her home but in the community. Especially known for her homemade yeast rolls. Mama Loni passed those southern secrets down through her lineage, as she wanted all of her girls to be able to carry the torch. Her daughter Pauline later migrated to Milwaukee, WI and opened a family owned grocery store in the heart of the city. Pauline taught her daughters baking skills, canning, and so much more.
  2. Mildred Nash-Greer
As matriarch of the Greer family, and eldest daughter of Pauline Oates-Nash, Mildred had a love for baking and entertaining guest. Her classy style combined with her cooking and baking skills made all of her events memorable. Holidays were especially important to Mildred and this was the time she would pull her daughters and grand-daugthers in the kitchen and deposit those same skills into them that she learn as a child
